Founder, Operations and Concept Development

Howard Cummins is a seasoned restaurateur whose twenty five years of experience includes the full scale food and beverage services and operations. His background includes noted San Francisco establishments such as Le Colonial Restaurant, Elka Restaurant at the Miyako Hotel, Harry Denton’s Restaurant, Kimpton group properties, and the opening of Twenty Four at the San Francisco Giant’s Pac Bell Park. He has overseen over fourty openings and refreshed concept developments.

Howard’s appreciation and understanding of food, and the people who prepare, began in his grandmother’s farm kitchen in South Dakota. Continuing this passion, he began consulting in January 2002, specializing in hospitality start-ups. These services ranged from advising on operations, opening schedules, budgets, wine lists, menus and staffing. Additionally, he works with troubled locations, to reverse negative cash flow situations and stabilizing day-to-day operations.

During his experience in San Francisco, Howard has developed a vast network of hospitality professionals. He is now bringing the best of which together to assist clients in focused and effective problem solving for the ever growing challenges of successful hospitality operations. He has also been active in Bay Area charities and volunteers his time for Trips for Kids.
